​Simple Girl Giving Back

At Simple Girl, we're not just about making life better for our clients. We believe in giving back to our community and we love devoting time and donating money to our favorite causes. Here are just a few ways in which we support our community and work to make the world a better place for all of us.

Stray Rescue of St. Louis

We love dogs. Like, we love them. That's why one of our favorite charities is Stray Rescue of St. Louis @ www.strayrescue.org, a stellar local no-kill organization that rescues stray, abandoned and abused animals in need of medical attention, nurses them back to health, and places them in loving homes.

When we head over to Stray Rescue to volunteer, we come bearing gifts of supplies to help support the cause. We walk the dogs, pet the dogs, love the dogs, play with the dogs, and try to leave without taking all of the dogs with us.

If you're in the St. Louis area and don't have a dog, you can find a loyal pet at Stray Rescue or you can be a dog-walking volunteer to help ensure these sweet pups get the exercise they need.

Defenders of Wildlife

Defenders of Wildlife @ www.defenders.org is a national organization that works to protect wildlife and their habitats in order to protect these animals and ensure environmental biodiversity. They work on the local, state and national level to develop practical and innovative programs to protect species and restore their habitats.

Simple Girl donates money to this excellent organization to help support their cause and do our duty to protect wild species and the environment.

Save the Manatee

We may be landlocked here in Missouri but that doesn't mean we can't adore marine animals like the much-loved manatee. That's why we donated money to a wonderful organization in order to adopt our very own manatee, a little (okay, gigantic) sweetheart named Ariel.

You can adopt a manatee too. Save The Manatee @ www.savethemanatee.org was founded by Jimmy Buffet and Sen. Bob Graham in order to protect these peaceful animals. Head over to their website and consider supporting their cause.

Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary

Can you tell yet that we love animals? You wouldn't think that Missouri would be home to a mess of tigers but over in Ste. Genevieve you'll find a number of these animals living in a lovely and safe environment after being rescued from neglectful situations and restored back to health. Crown Ridge Tiger Sanctuary @ www.crownridgetigers.com is a non-profit organization licensed by the USDA that offers tours, education, and presentations to increase public awareness surrounding the mistreatment of these majestic animals and raise money to continue providing lifelong care for the tigers.

Simple Girl loves heading over to Crown Ridge to offer much-needed supplies from their wish list along with donating meat to feed the big cats.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Everyone knows that Make-A-Wish Foundation @ www.wish.org is one of the best charities ever, offering the fulfillment of lifelong wishes to children who are living with terminal illness, which puts a great deal of stress on families and children alike. Make-A-Wish grants wishes like special trips, shopping sprees, and meet-ups with heroes to make children's (and their families') lives a little brighter. Simple Girl donates to Make-A-Wish and encourages everyone to look into this excellent organization and consider giving time or money to help make children's dreams come true.
